Virgin Eleusa
Description
The Holy Monastery of Panagia Eleusa, in Lygia Bartholomio, is built in a verdant, enchanting canyon, next to a cave with stalactites.
The water from the springs inside the cave is considered as sacred, while the successive disasters that the monastery has suffered over the years, combined with the fact that it still stands, makes the visit to its premises particularly special.
Next to the church, inside the monastery, there is a tower, while the whole complex is surrounded by an imposing fortified enclosure.
