Kaiafas Climbing Festival & 1st Rock Climbing Cup
On the three days of May Day, the "Kaiafas Climbing Festival and 1st Rock Climbing Cup", organized by the Mountaineering-Climbing Club of Pyrgos and the Hellenic Mountaineering-Climbing Federation, will be held at the Kaiafas Climbing Field, co-organized by the Municipality of Zacharo and the Region of Western Greece. A rich three days program, in the renewed and enriched with new routes Kaiafas Climbing Field, will give the opportunity to young and old, professional, and ordinary visitors to try climbing in nature under the guidance of experienced climbers!
At the festival, rock climbers from associations of the Hellenic Mountaineering-Climbing Federation from all over Greece will be invited, who will climb more than 30 routes of various levels, while care will be taken so that, at certain times, visitors can also try rock climbing.
The three-day program in detail
SATURDAY 4/29/23
10:00-14:00 – Climbing demonstrations by the young athletes of OALP and climbing by young guests on selected educational routes. 14:00-16:00 – Break 16:00-20:00 – Climbing demonstrations by the OALP teenage section and climbing by adult visitors on selected educational routes. 17:00-20:00 – Hike to the citadel of Ancient Samia from the climbing area (with a guide)
